Iced Tea

I used to hate iced tea. I still don't like bottled iced tea; it makes my teeth feel all fuzzy and weird. But on a hot day, I love to come home and make a big jar of sweet, cold tea.

The Secret Recipe of Doom
I make it in a two-litre jug, which is 8 cups to any whacko Yankees out there.

Ingredients:
Four tea-bags
1/2 Cup of Sugar (or to taste)
Two lemons (optional but delicious.)

Put the kettle on. While it's boiling, heat your glass jug (Don't use plastic!) with hot water from the tap. When the kettle is hot, pour four cups (1 L) of boiling water into your pitcher. Add sugar and stir until sugar is completely dissolved and water is clear. Add four tea bags and set on back of counter to steep-approximately 25 minutes. After tea has steeped, add two cups of cold water and two trays of ice. It is a lot of ice, so maybe empty two trays into a bag and refill them, so that you always have enough ice. Fish out teabags if desired. Photograph artsily and post on your blog, while sitting in the backyard of your parents house and putting off going back inside, because there are so many dishes waiting there for you to wash.
